Msgr. John Ryan chartered the course of Catholic principles of social justice in the years following WWI, principles that were incorporated into law by Franklin D. Roosewelt’s New Deal. The program examines the origins of those principles in Pope Leo XIII’s encyclical, “Rerum Novarum,” and how they apply to the contemporary realities of our troubled economy.
