As an American Paulist priest on the staff of the Secretariat for Christian Unity, Fr. Tom Stransky witnessed the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council from its beginnings in 1960, its two years of preparation and the four sessions that followed (1962-65). Fr. Stransky recalls his experiences and impressions of the Council, providing contemporary viewers with a first-hand account of the Council and its intentions.
